LOST SHEEP

Have you ever been “The lost sheep”…… are you “The lost sheep”

Isaiah 53:6

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Now that’s the bad part but here’s the good part……   we don’t have to stay lost and eating in the pig pen we have a Heavenly Father waiting for our return to Him.

Luke 15 tells the story of the lost sheep and after he’d been gone away from his family for a lengthy time how he decided to finally go home.    The story is much more than that.

I had just stood yesterday morning before preaching hour and shared my personal testimony of salvation and how I had come to know the Lord out of selfish reasons because I did NOT want to die and go to hell.    What I didn’t finish telling was that I have continued serving for all these years out of love.   I fell and I’m still falling so deeply in love with my Heavenly Father.

I was that lost sheep.   I had no clue what being a Christian even meant ….all I knew was that I did NOT want to go to hell.

Some people have had the privilege of growing up in church and know all the ways of the Lord but made the decision to walk in their flesh and experience some things of this world and before they even know it….satan had set a snare and trapped them in sin….so now they sit being “The lost sheep”

Maybe it’s someone you know and love, maybe it’s your friend, your parents, your children, Aunt, uncle, sibling….maybe it’s even you.

The parable continues with not just the boy/man who left but it tells of the father anxiously waiting for his son to return home.   I can see it now in my mind…..the father out working in the field and he looks out over the pasture to watch and see if maybe this is the day his son would return.   Finally….finally…after all this fathers praying and maybe even years of praying…..he looks out and in a great distance he sees his son coming across the field.    He gets up and he runs to his son to greet him and he instantly is ready to forgive his son and welcomes him home.

Our Heavenly Father stands with arms open and ready to take you back or take you to Him for the first time.   Only you and the Lord know your hearts condition.

Not only does it stop there but it goes on to tell about how even the angels in heaven will stop what they’re doing to see what’s taking place on earth and they will rejoice with you.

 Luke 15:10

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

How exciting is that!!!!!  Wow!!!! Salvation must be pretty spectacular if Jesus is gonna come running to meet us and the Angels are gonna rejoice at the moment of our repentance.   (Gives me goose bumps)

Go ahead friend, parent, sibling, son, daughter…. surrender your life to Jesus while the Holy Spirit is calling you to repentance.    Watch God transform your life and make your heart brand new.

Ezekiel 36:26

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

I’m eternally grateful I did.   šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

Thank you Jesus for never giving up on me.
