I LOVE FRUIT

Having victory in the heart makes you the real winner and allows peace to take over and wash away anything that’s being hidden in the dark places of your heart.

Let it go…. unforgiveness, bitterness, lying, jealousy, addictions, (ask God to search YOUR heart and show you what needs letting go of)

Psalm 139:23  Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

Psalm 139:24  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (KJV)

I had the privilege of getting to hear my daughter speak at a women’s conference this last weekend and she gave pieces of knowledge from God’s Word that can be watered and grown into life changing wisdom….if we let it get from our brain to our heart.

If you will notice in scripture when God lists the fruit of the Spirit….it’s singular and not plural.

God lists nine things and calls it a singular fruit.

(fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, and temperance)

This means if you are lacking even one of these then you are not displaying Gods fruit and therefore you are giving up a blessing that God wants to give you.

Search your heart…

Do you have hate….love will replace it with Gods help.   Do you have misery, agony or anguish….let God’s joy replace it.     Do you have irritation or conflict….let peace replace it.    Are you long suffering or do you lash out verbally or even physically….take it to God and let Him give you the patience to be long suffering through every situation.     Are you abrupt or harsh (a little hard around the edges)….let God come in that area of your heart and replace it with gentleness and a sweet spirit.   Are you impatient or assertive…..let God have it and He will give you meekness that you can’t deny came from Him.

Do you have any evil towards another a hate that’s set up in your heart….give it to the Lord and He will give you goodness and the ability to forgive and will allow you the ability to pray for that person and request blessings for them and their life.    Do you have doubt or mistrust… give it to God and He will show you faith in a way that will change you forever.   This last one I have for you is straight from Gods Word and google…..

it gives the definition of temperance as abstinence from alcoholic drinking.    It doesn’t say it’s ok to drink in moderation or with a meal… it says that you are to abstain from it.   If you don’t have the ability to show self control in any situation then give it to God and allow Him to fill you with temperance against such there is no law.

If our walk with Christ is lacking one of these listed characteristics then our walk is in vain and we need to make things right with the Lord.

God calls us to be steadfast and unmovable and doing a work that guides others to Him.

1 Corinthians 15:58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (KJV)

Gods Word tells us that we will be recognized by our fruit and cautions us to bear good fruit

Matthew 7:16  Ye shall know them by their fruits….(KJV)

because if we bear bad fruit then it won’t take long before He will cut us down and will cast us into the fire.

Matthew 7:19  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. (KJV)

So I encourage you again to ask God to search your heart and make sure that you are demonstrating everything listed to equal God’s fruit.

My daughter, Morgan, reminded us at the conference that even tho vegetables are good for us….

God doesn’t tell us to demonstrate a vegetable but He chose fruit because most fruit comes from a tree.

The most amazing fruit….being Jesus….hung on a tree and gave His life so that we could be saved and no longer be in bondage to sin.

Read John chapter 15 today and let the scripture come alive and speak to you.

Let God begin making changes in your heart and change you from the inside out.     Let Him have full access and begin changing every aspect of your life to demonstrate true love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, and temperance and find the victory in your life that will make you the real winner.
