WHY SHOULD I WORRY

Don’t let negative thoughts cloud your mind.

The song WHY SHOULD I WORRY has such a powerful message.    I had to share pieces of it and I pray it blesses you like it has me.

I’m not usually one that can take naps but today I was sound asleep and might have only slept for about 5 mins when I woke up with the words “why should I worry” on my heart.   I was like hmmm… Lord, I’m not worried…and then He gently reminded me of my daily conversations with Him and how I am indeed worried about certain situations and outcomes.

I like to be spiritual and call them “concerns” LOL

But if I’m being honest….and I want to be honest….. I do battle with worry from time to time.

That’s when my concern crosses a line and becomes worry which is a sin.

I’ve battled with it so much in the past that it’s been known to take a toll on my health.    I’m not bragging and I’m not glorifying that sin….I’m being brutally honest so that maybe it can help someone else avoid being caught in the same devils trap.

God’s Words kept burning in my heart and with each passing minute He clearly gave me spiritual nuggets to ponder on.

In our Sunday school class we discussed Gods promises and how many of His promises do we have access to but we fail to recognize them?

His promise to never forsake us.  His Promise to be our shield and buckler.   His promise to deliver us from a devils snare.    His promise that no plague will come near us.   His promise that He has given the angels charge over us.

So….

WHY SHOULD I WORRY?

The Lord spoke to my heart to tell me to stop and to just be still.    I thought I was…but I couldn’t even get still enough for long enough to really let Him speak.

He reminded me that before I ever get to tomorrow He is already there making a way for me.    Making crooked paths straight.

ISAIAH 43:19

ISAIAH 45:2

He knows every tear I cry.

PSALM 56:8

He knows my name

ISAIAH 43:1

PSALM 91:14

and He has every single hair on my head numbered.

LUKE 12:7

He knows every obstacle I will ever face and He has already made a way.

He knew this crazy pandemic was coming and it hasn’t surprised Him or shaken Him in the least.

The same Jesus that saved my soul stands before His father making intercession for me.

ROMANS 8:34

I have so many people that I know and are close to that are battling different circumstances.   Some are battling Health, some are battling finances, some are battling for their marriage, some are battling for their children or grandchildren’s souls, and MANY today are battling to keep their businesses open or just keeping their jobs… the list can go on and on, but let the truth of God’s Word penetrate your heart and know that He hears every cry and He is making intercession for you too and He has already made a way of escape.

1 CORINTHIANS 10:13

The lyrics to this song that I’ve had on my heart for a couple weeks now are so true… it’s the lyrics to WHY SHOULD I WORRY

“Out on the waters

the storms raging high,

Darkness around them

had troubled there minds

Fear gripped their hearts

they thought they would die,

But they failed to remember

that the Master was nigh,”

How many people around the world have been gripped by the fear of dying or having a loved one die from COVID19?

How many of us in the midst of this trial have failed to remember that the master, the healer, the almighty God was right there and all we had/have to do is call on His name!

LUKE 10:17

Don’t you know He loves to hear from His children?

1 PETER 5:7

When my own children are in need it always does my heart good to know that they know it doesn’t ever matter the circumstances but that they can ALWAYS come to me and I will always have welcome arms for them!!

Our Heavenly Father is the same way.   He wants us to bring our need and to pour out our heart to Him.

“He spoke the word and

winds all stood still

even the waters obeyed His will,

and He calmed their storms

just like He will mine,

if I just remember He lives deep inside.”

WHY SHOULD I WORRY

“We read in the Bible

how he walked with them,

brought light to the darkness

when the way grew so dim,”

Don’t give in to the darkness that seems to be around us!    The light of God will expose the evil and one day the devil will finally bow down to the Lord.     Be vigilant in YOUR walk with Christ while you’re waiting.

“how great it would be to

have His footsteps in mine

to walk with the Master all of the time”

One day we will be with Him for all of eternity….unless your heart has never truly known Him and then there will be an eternal separation in hell.

The choice is always ours.    When the Holy Spirit deals with your heart then move and accept Him as your Lord and Savior.    He promises to call….but He doesn’t promise to keep calling.   So don’t miss the opportunity.    If you quench the spirit then you run the risk of your heart waxing cold.

MATTHEW 24:12

NOW LISTEN HERE TO THE NEXT PART OF THE SONG….

We ALL have trials and sometimes it feels like we just aren’t gonna make it.

That’s what the devil wants us to believe!!!  HE IS A LIAR!!!!

The devil will sometimes even plant thoughts of suicide making you believe it’s the only option.    Again… THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!!

JOHN 8:44

Just call on the Master!!!!   He’s never late but always perfectly on time!!  He will renew your strength and the weariness will be gone.

ISAIAH 40:31

You will actually feel the heaviness leaving your body.

“and when trials come

and death seems so nigh

I’ll call on the Master I

know He’ll get there on time

and when sickness comes

and my body’s in pain

ALL  I have to do is, call on HIS name.🙌🏼

So why should I worry why should I fear,

when this very same Jesus

He is always so near,

He lives in my heart and

He hears when I cry,

I’ll call on His name

till the storm passes by”

So next time you feel like it’s all out of control then be reminded that there is NOTHING….NOT ONE THING out of God’s control!

The same God that spoke things into existence, the same God that tells the water, land, sun, moon, and stars where to stand and when to shine is the very same God that’s working in your behalf today and wants to be called on.    So why should we worry….  it’s a sin.

Why should we fear?

God doesn’t give the spirit of fear, He gives us POWER, LOVE and a SOUND MIND!

The Jesus that lives in your heart or if you’re not a Christian He wants to live in your heart….

He can be called on and He will instantly be there to supply your every single need.    So…

WHY SHOULD WE WORRY
