who is Jesus to you? To me He’s my Heavenly Father, my Savior, my dearest friend, my comforter, my refuge, my encourager, my corrector…. my list can go on forever.
So who exactly does the Bible say that Jesus is?
The Bible tells us that Jesus is The Almighty One.
Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, THE ALMIGHTY. (KJV)
It says He’s the beginning and end…the Alpha and Omega.
Revelation 22:13 I am ALPHA AND OMEGA, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. (KJV)
He’s the Advocate…
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an ADVOCATE with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: (KJV)
He’s our bread of life. We must have Him to survive.
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the BREAD OF LIFE: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (KJV)
He’s the beloved son of God.
Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (KJV)
He is the absolute light of the world.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the LIGHT OF THE WORLD: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (KJV)
So many things that the Bible says Jesus is….it would take too long to name them all. He’s everything I need and I’m so thankful that He sent the Holy Ghost to convict my heart and made it humble enough to accept Him as my Savior so that the rest of my life and eternity could begin. After all…. He is the only door to heaven. No other way but through a relationship with Him.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)
And
John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (KJV)
Start making your list as to what Jesus is to you.
If you can’t make a list then ask me how you can start your own personal list of the greatness of who the trinity is…. the Father (God), the son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.
