If someone was to ask you “what is the greatest gift”
A lot of spiritually minded people would say “Salvation” and wow that is a tremendous gift!!! That is a super fantastic gift, but it’s a very superficial answer. Think about your salvation. He didn’t have to freely give us salvation and it’s not a get out of hell free card although that’s how some people think of it… I know because I was one of those people. It’s much deeper than that! It’s personal! I’m thankful over the years I’ve learned just how valuable Salvation is to each of us that chooses it.
Salvation isn’t just saying with your lips that you “know Christ” but it’s being repentant and walking fully redeemed!! Your whole life changed! Your thoughts, your actions, your desires, etc…
The greatest gift is that God allows us to know Him in the most personal way. To walk with Him moment by moment, to run to Him with our needs, to call on His name in times of trouble and to rebuke the enemy when we are under attack!
Salvation is to know that He supplies all of our needs! Walking by faith and in victory that the way has already been made.
Salvation is having such an intense relationship with Christ that we walk on a very straight and narrow path and that when we come up against adversity then we put our confidence of knowing who’s on our side and put our faith into full blown action and we go knowing the God is with us and He’s preparing a table before us… right smack in the presence of the enemy!!!!
We get to walk up to that table of blessings and know that the enemy can’t cross the bloodline!
I’m overwhelmed at how good God has chosen to be to me! I am a nobody, but I am His child and He called me by name out of the pits of hell and redeemed my life! I am not the same person I once was but I also have a long ways to go to be the person that I want to be for God.
I want to spend the rest of my days full of God’s mercy and praise Him for new mercy each morning and walk in His grace that I sure don’t deserve…. And I walk in the kind of love that is pleasing to the Lord. Sometimes that love means hard things have to be spoken but it’s done with an attitude and heart of love. Walking in the kind of Godly fruit and having spiritual eyes, ears and discernment that sees every soul as an opportunity for Christ.
We don’t know what day our life on this earth will end but I pray I can glorify the Lord with the time I have here so that when I get to Him then He will say “well done” and I pray the book of my life, as it’s opened, would warm the heart of Christ as I stand before Him and give an account. Man…. I have a lot of work to do.
Jesus is about to call the true Christian’s up to Him. Don’t let your own heart deceive you. Check it with God’s standards. Make sure your relationship is intimate with Jesus. His love will cover all of your sin and you too can walk redeemed. I’m thankful I don’t need a mediator between Jesus and myself but that because of His choice to die on the cross and call me by name and allow our relationship to be one that I can go straight to Him and just talk. We have some good conversations and other times He says hard things to me that hurt but once I’ve surrendered in obedience to Him then that hurt is immediately gone as His loving arms are wrapped around me.
I am SO SO SO eternally thankful for the greatest gift of getting to know Him personally!
I owe my life to Him… but yet He gave His life for mine.
