PLUGGED EARS?

Are your ears plugged or do you hear the alarm sounding?

Where is YOUR shout?!

It’s so obvious in everything that goes on daily whether it be school, work, daily activities and even private home life that the Lords return is absolutely near!!!

He is giving us warning after warning and for whatever reason…even though the alarm is being sounded our hearts are not heeding to the warning.     

Joel 2:1  Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; (KJV)

We have been let down and lied to by scholars who have been telling us that it doesn’t matter how we live our lives….so long as we love Jesus or that we believe in Him.   

This has led many away from Gods true will.  

It’s not only a matter of believing and loving…although those things are most certainly expected and Salvation can’t take place without them.    

Just like….. we believe in oxygen but the simple fact of believing in it doesn’t get it into our lungs and into our blood.    So only believing doesn’t do it any good….but it’s the first step and then it’s taking it in…. faith to believe and action to put it into works…. to breathe in and take it into our lungs so that it can get into our blood which then goes throughout the entire body.  

James 2:17  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. (KJV)

I wanna also point out ….that even the devils believe and tremble.    If it was a matter of “believing” then the devil would also be saved…. right?   

James 2:19  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. (KJV)

We love lots of people.    I absolutely love beyond words of expression my husband, my children, and my grandchildren….but the love I have for them cannot save me.   

Simply having a love for Jesus cannot save us either.   It’s more than believing and it’s more than loving.    It’s those two things combined with a heart of true repentance.    A true heart of repentance is sorry for the sins they’ve committed and a true heart of repentance has a desire to always do better and live a life according to God’s standards.    Claiming salvation with our lips doesn’t make us saved or give us a free right to live in sin.   This is why God tells us that we have to deny ourselves daily and take up the cross and follow Him. 

Luke 9:23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. (KJV)

Our ways of speaking and thinking and acting all begin to change at the very moment of repentance.   

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV)

God is sounding the alarm in preparation for His return to take “His people” home.     The Bible says that the way to heaven is straight and narrow.   

Matthew 7:13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Matthew 7:14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (KJV)

His word warns of people “falling away” in the last days.    

2 Thessalonians 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (KJV)

He’s sounding the alarm…. and yet people still have their ears plugged to it!!

He’s warning us that if we don’t get our ears unplugged then He will quit speaking to us.  

Hebrews 5:11  Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. (KJV)

I pray before it’s too late that we seek the Lord diligently so that our ears can be unplugged so that we can again be blessed.

Matthew 13:15-16  For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. (KJV)

and more importantly so that we can hear that final shout when He blows His trumpet..when the Lord Himself comes back to take His people home.   

1 Thessalonians 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (KJV)
