My mind can’t comprehend a person not believing in their creator. Seriously I can’t.
Even before I had a relationship with Jesus I felt Him around me through others that did have a relationship with Him. I cried out to him…usually for Him to get me out of trouble LOL…but yet I still cried out to Him knowing He was the one that was in control of all things.
And no… LOL he didn’t keep me from suffering the consequences of my bad choices or behavior.
When I did surrender my life to Him at age 17 then the Bible truly came to life for me. The pages spoke to me and sometimes….actually most times…I didn’t really like what the Lord was telling me…but yet I knew He was cleaning me up from the inside out. I’m a product of a miracle…Gods miracle. The miracle of Salvation…when I didn’t even know what salvation was.
Even beyond that…God has chosen to perform other mighty miracles in my life such as… changing a heart defect in one of my children right before birth. Before birth there were a team of doctors that told us he would probably die at birth and if he was to survive then he’d need a heart AND lung transplant. He was 32nd on that list. Somewhere between 34 weeks pregnancy and birth God performed that miracle. Oh I had to step out in faith and was anointed and prayed over…but still God is the one that did the miracle. (Faith without works is dead)
Then..At birth when they were preparing me for his death….they discovered it was actually a different heart defect. It was 2nd most lethal but yet could be surgically corrected..and was repaired at 2 months and 2 days old. Then at age 15 he was diagnosed with brain and spine cancer…one that nobody had ever survived. Worst nightmare of our lives…but yet it’s also the one that grew us so mightily in our faith and taught me how to really get down to business and pray to our Heavenly Father. Long story short. He Finished 32 rounds of EXTENSIVE radiation on a Thursday..he was scanned and we were told all Timor’s still there and too many to count, he was anointed and prayed over on Sunday, on Monday he was rescanned, and on Tuesday the doctor walked in the room literally scratching his head and face white as a sheet telling me that our sons tumors (so many that couldn’t even be counted all over brain and spine) were GONE!!!
We were forced to continue with horrible treatments that nearly killed him but we were given such a tremendous testimony and we share it daily and giving God all the glory. Those are just the few instances that God has worked in my life… I’d never be able to name them all.
So…back to my original thought in my mind I will never comprehend someone truly not believing…I think deep down those that deny really do believe…but even the devils believed and yet they trembled (that’s God word…not mine)
So.. With all the bad stuff going on in the world today…stop for now and LETS TALK ABOUT WHAT GOD CAN DO!
He can make a way when it seems all hope is gone. Just like He parted the Red Sea and allowed the Israelites to walk through it on dry ground.
He enters trying times with you. Even at the hottest most sorrowful time… He is there. Just like He did with the three Hebrew children when they got thrown in a fiery furnace.
He enters pits with us when we hit rock bottom and he shuts the mouths of our adversaries and allows us to rest peacefully…. Just like He did Daniel.
He brings us back to life when we feel like we we might never smile again and have lost all hope…. Just like He did Lazarus.
He calms storms in our life when we feel like we are being tossed in all directions and about to go under….just like He did the apostles.
He walks right with us during horrible medical diagnosis when we feel like we can’t breathe and are walking through the shadow of the valley of death… just like He did for David.
Listen…. I can go on but the point here is only to show you a few examples of what God can do. I’m absolutely convinced that in all reality there isn’t ONE SINGLE THING that is impossible for Him. He makes a way when there’s ain’t no way!! 🙌🏼
He makes it possible for us by turning to Him. At the sound of His name…. JESUS…. and mountains crumble and the enemy flees.
It’s easy in today’s world to get caught up in what’s going on. It’s easy to get sidetracked from seeing all the good that the Lord is doing. It’s easy to let fear grip your life…but none of those things are God’s plan for any of us. He wants us to encourage ourselves with His Word.
He wants us to be at peace even in times of trouble and find joy in the midst of heartbreak. Those things are possible if you have a rock solid relationship with Him.
Stop today and make a point to not only focus on but also talk about all the good things God has done and can do…. All you have to do is diligently seek Him.
