The adversity we endure here on earth is so minimal compared to the glory that’s waiting for us in heaven.
2 Corinthians 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
2 Corinthians 4:9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; (KJV)
It’s easy to look back over our shoulders and see God’s glory in our difficult situations.
It’s the journey that’s hard and requires such a close walk with Christ.
Because it is Him that is the way maker and miracle worker!
He wants to give each of us the desires of our hearts. Nobody desires adversity followed by many difficult years but sometimes it’s our decisions that put us in these predicaments because we walked in our flesh instead of the spirit.
We’ve all been there so don’t try and fool yourself into thinking that’s not about you. Pride comes before the fall.
This year is full of adversity. Where are you in this journey?
Are you looking back and seeing how God has used each situation and are you looking ahead for the awaited blessings or are you looking back still in sin and risking being turned into a pillar of salt?
Our free will gives us the opportunity to accept or reject.
Our free will let’s us walk in shame or in glory.
Our free will let’s us live with generational blessings or generational cursings.
The outcome of the situation is not what gives us strength it is the promises of God that gives us strength.
Don’t give up and don’t give in because then the enemy (the devil) wins but walk each step one step closer with the Lord and let God make you the head and not the tail because that is His promise for you ! It’s His word that says it!
Claim the victory! Victory in Jesus!
He has made us more than conquerors. Be reminded of that!
We know these things in our heads but let’s get these things in our hearts!
THAT is called wisdom! It’s called GODLY WISDOM!
How will God make that way for you? I don’t know. I don’t have that answer. Not for myself and not for you but what I do know is how God made the way over and over as He gave examples in the Bible and He most certainly will make a way for you too!
Like when the Israelites didn’t know how they’d escape pharaohs army. Then God parted the waters of the Res Sea and the Israelites walked through on DRY ground! Not muddy slippery ground with a risk of getting stuck but it was dry ground. Then once they were across the waters came down on Pharaoh’s Army.
What about the story of the men in the boat and the storm came up rocking and tossing the boat to and fro putting all the men’s lives at risk. Then Jesus called out and commanded peace be still and the waters obeyed. In my mind I picture the water now being smooth as glass. So the men could safely pass through and reach their destination.
So quit letting adversity beat you down and steal your joy. Use this time of adversity to draw closer than you’ve ever been to the Lord. Letting Him make you the head and not the tail. After all…. His promises are yes and amen! Let’s just remember that and let the blessings flow!
