Are we really supposed to battle? Are we called to be passive with an attitude of “let’s wait and see” or “let it work itself out” or “I don’t wanna get involved”
I’ve been guilty of all those things and sometimes that is the right thing, but sometimes it isn’t and we have to be ready to stand our ground and go head on into battle.
1 Samuel 30:8 And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. (KJV)
Sometimes it’s hard to stay focused and remember that we are called into a battle.
The continuous battle of praying for our loved ones.
Sometimes not seeing real evidence of a change in their lives or in the situation but only more chaos that the devil has planted.
It’s hard to stay in that spiritual battle. Easy to give up. We are called to fasten our armor and get back in that battle! To not stop but to keep firing on with Gods Word and through continuous prayer.
God is on the move…. and so is satan. We can’t stop or the enemy wins!
We have to always remember Gods promises and follow His direction as He leads us one step at a time.
We have to speak with authority His Word.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (KJV)
When we speak with God given authority and rebuke what the enemy is attempting to steal.
We must fully submit ourselves to God…. resist the enemies ways…. and watch him flee.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (KJV)
Keep sounding the alarm and making the enemy run!!!
Numbers 10:9 And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies. (KJV)
There will come a time that the scales will finally fall from the eyes of the ones we love and have been praying so fervently for.
Acts 9:18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. (KJV)
If we give up now…. then that might never happen. We must stand in that gap interceding for them…..and never giving in to the enemy!!!!
We…. with the power and authority God gives us when we are His children….must keep going forward and staying in an attitude of prayer and fighting back with the Word of God. Then we will see mountains moved and lives changed. Never give up!
